Corporate activism was strong even during the pandemic and is not expected to slow down in 2022.

Our three specialists will discuss, among other topics, the current state of activism, strategies used by activists, myths associated with who attacks and when, how companies can be prepared, ways for companies to defend once the campaign begins, and the role of Institutional Investors.

Our panelists include Craig Barbarosh, who has extensive experience serving on boards that were the target of activists and has also been appointed to boards by activists.  Colleen Smith is the Chair of San Diego Litigation team at Latham & Watkins and has represented both emerging and large cap companies.  David Hunker is Head of Shareholder Activism Defense at EY and was an investment banker at JP Morgan.  Hoshi Printer, an experienced independent board member, will moderate the panel.
